well shawns grandfather passed away yesterday  morning at 10am...shawn and I are both heartbroken, and we are not sure what we should be feeling, since neither of us have ever dealt with a death before. It's a very hard thing to go through. We sent a huge flower arrangement to the funeral home from shawn and I , his father Herb as well as my brother and sister in law...so hopefully that will show how much we care. We both wish we could be there, but It's not going to be possible. It really makes you realize how imp. family is when you loose someone close to you. Thanks for your support.

Hayward has'nt passed away yet, but the doctor's are giving him until friday, and thats the longest that they can give him right now. Thanks for the condolences.

Wow you and Doug have been busy little bees..lol, I am sure it's a great feeling to have all of those things accomplished.

 

My mother and grandmother will be here on Saturday, I am so excited :) I can't wait to finally see some of my family again, I know I seen them at christmas time, but it is so hard being away from all of them, adn I look forward to seeing them everytime they come.

 

Thank you for the consolence on Shawns grandfather, I really appreciate it. It's so hard to see his Nan go through everything, she has outlived two husbands..she is just so lost right now. They were the type of couple that when you would go to there house, they were sitting on there lazy boy chairs that were right next to each other and they were holding hands watching tv. They had a love that was everlasting :) But shawn and I are thinking about driving home to the funeral and stuff. We have'nt made a def. decision yet, but I am pretty sure we are going. It's just so hard to see him like this, and we are absolutley heartbroken. It's the first time that either of us have faced a death in our family, and we are both taking it pretty hard.

 

My fondest memory of him, which I will remember for the rest of my days, is walking in their on xmas morning, and seeing him sitting in his chair, with his santa hat on, so that when all the kids came he would be santa :) Even though he had a tumor on one lung, and his other one was collapsed, plus he is on kidney dialiasis, he still managed to put the hat on and be santa, while wearign his oxygen mask so that the kids would smile when they walked in the door :) I am crying while I am writing this...funny how that is. :( But he is def. a good man, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for him.

 

anywho...on a lighter note, Shawn and I are beginning our renovations this year too...lol, we are replacing our siding in may, and putting in a new furnace. My dad is flying up in may to do all of the renos for us, while we are at work, he thinks shawn does too much, so he's taking time off to come up here and do it for him..but then again..when your good, your my dad! lol
